Company Profile
Established in 1980, the Motor Transport Company of Guangdong and Hong Kong Limited (MTC) was the first cross-boundary transport service enterprise approved by the governments of Guangdong and Hong Kong and jointly funded by the Traffic Bureau of Guangdong Provincial Government, China Merchants Steam Navigator Company Limited of Hong Kong and Inchcape Motor Limited of Hog Kong. Its birth started the cooperation between Chinese and British enterprises, and pioneered cross-boundary passenger and freight highway transport between Hong Kong and Mainland China. After going through changes, the existing shareholders of the company are Guangdong Nanyue Logistics Co., Ltd., Traffic and Transportation Company of Shenzhen Municipal Government and Gentle Mate Tourism and Trade Co., Ltd. of Hong Kong.
Since its establishment, the Company has always been taking it as its aim to facilitate the personnel exchange and material circulation between the two places and promote economic cooperation and development of the two places with its high-quality services. Several generations of Guangdong and Hong Kong people, who are sincere, harmonious, devoted and diligent, have been driving MTC vehicles between Guangdong and Hong Kong. Meanwhile, the Company has vigorous support from the People’s Government of Guangdong Province, the Government of Hong Kong and related organizations as well as people of various social circles. Today, the Company has gathered a group of professionals specializing in trade management and a large number of vehicle commanders whose safe driving mileage has surpassed 1 million km and dedicated and enterprising employees with high quality; has a huge passenger and freight transportation fleet composed of various types of advanced vehicles; has various business management organizations and large-scale logistical support and technical guarantee bases in Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Guangdong etc. With its excellent corporate culture, perfect management system and honest, safe, rapid and high-quality service, the Company has maintained a good image and reputation. Over the years, it has always been trusted and praised by people of various circles, and is one of the largest and strongest cross-boundary passenger and freight transportation companies in Guangdong and Hong Kong. Since its establishment, it has sent over 40,000,000 passengers and over 3,300,000 tones of goods to their destinations pleasantly and in safe. Also, it has assumed many important transportation tasks for major political and business figures as well as materials, making active contributions to the social stability, economic prosperity and constant development of Guangdong and Hong Kong.
MTC is developing, progressing and expanding. In 2005, it was successfully combined with Nanyue Logistics Co., Ltd, listed in Hong Kong, and recommended by the trade as the director unit of the Hong Kong Guangdong Boundary Crossing Bus Association Ltd. The Company has won a series of credits and titles such as the “Model Unit of Safety Culture in Guangdong”.
